The METROPOL Asset Management Company is headed by highly professional managers with many years of experience on the Russian stock market. All specialists of METROPOL have FCSM qualification certificates attesting their professional level. 

METROPOL AM Director General – Mikhail Viktorovich Slipenchuk

Mikhail Viktorovich Slipenchuk graduated from the Geography Faculty of Moscow State University, after which he completed post-graduate studies at the same department and a Candidate Dissertation. He is a Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Ph.D. In 1997 he graduated from the Interdisciplinary Institute for the Further Qualification and Retraining of Executives and Specialists in the discipline Finance and Credit under the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics. 

M.V. Slipenchuk began his business career in 1995 at Metropol Bank as a manager of the Securities Department and gradually moved up the career ladder. In 1995 he put forward the initiative to set up METROPOL Investment Finance Company. From the moment the company was founded on 16 March 1995 to the present day, he has held the position of General Director, IFC METROPOL.

M.V. Slipenchuk was elected Chairman of the Board of the EuroAsian Business Council of EuroAsian Economic Community, Chairman of the Russian section of the Russo-Vietnamese Business Council, a member of the Presidium of the “XXI Century Russian Committee” All-Russian Social Organization for the Development of Russo-Japanese Relations, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Moscow International Business Association.    

M.V. Slipenchuk is President of the Russian Kyokushin-kan Karate do Federation, President of the Charity foundation of the support of Navy “Cruiser “Varyag”, President of the Martial Arts Fund, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Preservation of Lake Baikal. 

In 2002 the Presidium of the International Academy of Ecology, Man and Nature Protection Sciences elected M.V. Slipenchuk as a Corresponding Fellow of the Academy in the field of Economics.

For his considerable contribution to creating a favourable environment for the development of entrepreneurship, the Mayor of Moscow awarded Mikhail Viktorovich with a commemorative medal of the Moscow International Business Association and a "10 Years of the MIBAS" anniversary medal.

In 2005 M.V. Slipenchuk won the “Person of the Year” Annual National Prize in the category “For the attraction of investments into the real sector of the economy”.

According to the Russian Association of Managers and the publishing house Kommersant, M.V.   Slipenchuk is among the top 1000 most professional managers in Russia.

For his contribution to charity and social activity M.V. Slipenchuk was awarded the Order of the Blessed Prince Daniil Moskovsky of the III Degree, the Order of Sergei Padonezhsky of the III Degree, and the Tsarskoe Celo Artistic Prize “For the support of cultural projects”. 

METROPOL AM Managing Director – Anatoly Rabinovich

In 1992 he received the qualification certificate of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on the right to work in investment funds and perform operations with securities, in 1993 the licence of the State Duma of the Russia on the right to conduct activity as a specialized investment privatization fund manager, and in 1995 the qualification certificate of the Ministry of Finance of the RF.

In 1993-1995 he worked on the largest exchanges in Moscow: the Russian Commodities and Raw Materials Exchange, the Central Russian Universal Exchange, and the Moscow Commodities Exchange. 

In 1995-2001 he held executive positions at International Investment Company, Evrosibbank and MDM-Bank.

Candidate for the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of NAUFOR [National Securities Market Participants] (2000); leader of the working group to frame legislation on the derivatives market (2001); member of the Board of Directors of the Russian Stock Exchange Union (2001); adviser to the head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (2004); adviser to the president of the Interregional Oil & Gas Stock Exchange (2004-2006).  In 2007 - president of IK Trust. Since July, 1 2008 – an employee of METROPOL.

METROPOL AM Deputy Director General– Alexander Zakharov

A graduate of the Bauman Moscow Higher Technical College (diploma with honours), up to 1994 he conducted academic and tutorial work. From 1994 to 2004 he worked at Guta-Bank in positions ranging from an investment dealer to Deputy Director of the Stock and Money Market Operations Department. As of 2004 General Director of the investment company GUTA-INVEST, and since January 2005 Deputy General Director of METROPOL. His sphere of duties includes the creation of new, as well as the development and promotion of existing, company products.
